Project Overview
Between August 2017 and January 2018, ECS delivered a major programme of works valued at approximately £1.5M for GWEP AMEY/INABENSA. The project involved supplying two dedicated switch installation teams, including full management oversight, to plan and install a total of 102 switches across the route. These comprised a range of switch types, including Track Section Switches, Circuit Main Earth & Power Supply Switches, as well as both motorised and manually operated units.

The Process
The ECS teams were responsible for all stages of the switch installation process, from initial planning through to final implementation. This included ensuring correct integration of various switch types to meet the technical specifications of the project. Alongside this, ECS deployed internal resources to support wiring and registration activities, enabling the project to progress in line with critical milestones. Personnel supplied included engineers, construction managers, senior supervisors, and OLEC-competent staff.
